June 17, 2022 – The Federal Emergency Management Agency met with lawmakers and emergency response teams within the state and Chatham County on Friday to prepare for this year’s hurricane season. Included in the visit was Tybee Island Mayor Shirley Sessions who said she appreciates lawmakers and emergency officials for recognizing the threat these storms pose to island communities.
